Which personal data do we process?
Which data we process depends on how you come into contact with Employ Select!
If you register or apply
We may process the following data, among other things:
- First and last name
- Date of birth
- Address details
- Phone number and email address
- Curriculum vitae and work experience
- Education, diplomas and certificates
- Motivation and work preferences
- Availability
- Information from conversations
- References, if you provide them yourself or give permission to request them
- Other information you provide to us yourself that is relevant to recruitment and selection
For our recruitment and selection service we do not need your citizen service number (BSN) or a copy of an identity document. We therefore do not ask for these during a regular registration or application.
If you are a contact person at a client
We may process your name, job title, business phone number, business email address and other data needed for our cooperation.
What do we use your data for?
We use personal data for our recruitment and selection services. For example to:
- Handle your registration or application
- Guide you to a suitable vacancy
- Introduce you to a client
- Contact you about vacancies and applications
- Arrange job interviews and introductory meetings
- Stay in touch with clients
- Improve our services and website
- Approach you about future vacancies, with your consent
- Comply with legal obligations
We only process personal data when there is a legal basis for doing so.
Introducing candidates to clients
An important part of our services is introducing candidates to employers.
If we think a vacancy suits you well, we discuss this with you first. We only share your personal data and CV with a client after you have given your consent.
The client only receives the information that is relevant to the vacancy concerned and the recruitment and selection procedure.
With your consent, we may show an anonymous profile of you on the Available candidates page. It does not include your name, photo or contact details.
Data via our website
When you fill in a contact, registration or application form on our website, we use the data you provide to handle your question, registration or application.
We do not keep this data longer than necessary for the purpose for which you provided it.
If you give permission to keep your data for longer, we can, for example, contact you when a suitable vacancy becomes available in the future.
Retention periods
We do not keep personal data longer than necessary.
If you apply and you are not placed, we generally keep your application data for a maximum of 4 weeks after the procedure has ended.
With your consent, we may keep your data longer, for example for a maximum of 1 year, so that we can contact you about future vacancies.
A different statutory retention period may apply to certain data.
With whom do we share your data?
We do not sell your personal data.
We only share data when this is necessary for our services, when you have given your consent or when we are legally required to do so.
This may include:
- Clients to whom we introduce you, with your consent
- Suppliers of recruitment, application and administration software
- IT and hosting providers
- Suppliers needed for our website to function
- Government authorities when we are legally required to do so
For our recruitment and selection we use various systems and external service providers, for example to manage vacancies, candidates and applications. One of them is RecruitNow: our candidate system and the application forms on this website. We make agreements on the protection and security of this data with parties that process personal data on our behalf.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
This website runs on servers in Frankfurt. Some of our IT suppliers are, however, American companies, so data may end up outside the European Economic Area. This is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access and unlawful alteration.
Only employees and parties who need the data for their work have access to personal data.
